Synopsis: The dog is maudlin and full of regret, the mice want to party, Alfalfa wants to sleep, then everyone is playing with bubbles.
Comments: Is the title a pun on something, or just a song (and a pre-existing song or not)? Yet another dog with two different colored ears. Mr. Natural seems to be in a picture frame in Alfalfa's bedroom. Was it the dog who was responsible for keeping the mice out? Some sort of rat terrier? Yet more skating (similar mice antics in 1943), but there they are the protagonists. Alfalfa swallows his goldfish, then burps them out; the actions of the goldfish in going there in the first place are puzzling. Were bubble pipes new? Perhaps a craze? The music is reminiscent of that in Debbie Does Dallas, just by an orchestra instead of a marching band. The story is... wait, there really isn't one. Maybe it's been edited out, but this just feels like a series of almost entirely unconnected events. Bad song. Bad drawings.

"Old Dog Tray" was the title of a Stephen Foster song from 1853 about a man who's best and only friend is his old dog Tray.
