Comments: The standard opening before the title is beautiful. Establish on the crashing waves on the seashore followed by topless mermaids at a distance. And then close up. How is that possible? The Hayes Code was being enforced in '34. Betty Boop has to babysit but you can have topless mermaids as long as they lack nipples? Lobster looks made of balloons. Red butt slapping. Apparently ships sank with both treasure and Charlie Chaplin outfits. Chaplin references were thin on the ground by '39; I wonder if they'll still be a force in the rest of '35. Harpo Marx lobster; actually looks closer than many of the human caricatures. This is the best looking cartoon so far; the kids are simple and Campbell-y, but they move well and the octopus is very fluid. It's kinda creepy the kids are the "Mr and Mrs".
